We have produced groundbreaking reports to major corporations, Federal and State Government agencies, and NGOs in Australia and overseas. For a recent example of our capability, see our research for the NSW Government assessing the footprint of Australia’s largest healthcare system, also published in the Resources, Conservation and Recycling journal.
In Australia, ISA pioneered the Triple Bottom Line performance calculation of Australia’s industry sectors, as detailed in Balancing Act. In the UK, funded by Defra UK and in collaboration with Stockholm Environment Institute, we calculated the carbon footprint of the UK, which led the BBC to report “UK in ‘delusion’ over emissions”.
For consulting purposes, as well as research, in 2012 an ISA led consortium developed the Australian Industrial Ecology Virtual Laboratory (IELab).
